Good Company 04:41
I think that you're good company And dare he say, "i know that this is something that won't ever last" and then she said, "would you and I be nothing if I ever asked?" So the feelings drop the moment this is something sorta typical He said, "baby girl, you know you're something special not so typical" So stay true in this funny phase And choose –– try to save some face Try to make some sense of what you want and make it so Hurry up, make up your mind, take it slow I think that you're good company So then they say, it's better to have loved and lost than not at all And yet here we are, the moment that we lost is all that ever was So stay in tune, as the lyrics go Into a part everyone knows Sing your heart out as if you’re the one who leads the show Pour it out, keep to yourself, let it go They're gone but you don't have to leave Just time with you is all I need If all I had was you and me I think that makes good company I think that you're good company I think that I’m good company I think that we're good company I think that you're good company

Broken Glass 04:07
Just when you thought that you’re gonna quit You take your time and you go with it You won’t know how wait until you try You're so sore until you close your eyes What you don't even know while you're sitting by the phone Late at night, out of sight, wonder who will take you home I’m seeing myself, i’m seeing myself Broken glasses by the cupboard So enamoured by the fiction told Don’t act surprised, just play the part Tears in your eyes, i know it’s hard Used to run to one another Back when you still called me a lover No sense crying over what’s been said Secrets shared under the covers I’m feeling tired doing nothing much I fall asleep when the sun is up I don’t know why I take all the time You’re so-so, you think that you’re alright You’re out the door, I pull you in, let’s talk about it Pull you a chair, the coffee’s getting cold in silence You open fire, my walls are down I’m so defenseless But where’s the lie? I often stray from independence

Wake Up 04:17
No smiles in the morning, you had a bad night It all started in the afternoon around quarter past two Getting bruises in the bedroom, and you often wonder why since nobody’s sleepin by your side It can all just be a bad dream, or some sort kind of premonition made of terrible decisions Nothing’s going right and you wonder why Wonder what it’s like on the other side, baby Is it even worth it if you even tried No one’s there to hear you despite how loud you cry But you do it for yourself Yeah, you do it how you want it I can't even tell What the hell I’m even singing for You know I can't explain My memory’s selective, quite neglected are the loopholes in my brain Ohhh its been a while could you lift me up, yeah i got my jam on If the crescendo is the remedy But I forget the melody Often times you’re tired, irritable, and you wonder why you’re so down Late at night you wander in your room, looking for, a sense of control On and on you slowly lose your mind You’re walking on a tight rope, you’re running out of time

Ghost 03:43
I’m always too late To say, “I love you” And I die just a little “Why are you leavin’ so soon?” It’s taken for granted; Time with you and I cried just a little, “Are you still in the room?” If I stay still, And I steer clear; Oh, but time’s gone by, And your ghost is still here I kept all your letters, our pictures, some music And I died just a little “Why’d you leave me so soon” It’s time to move on I know they can’t see And I cry just a little “I know you’re in the room” If I stay still, And I steer clear Oh, but time’s gone by, And your ghost is still here Linger in the room, so i see the signs Flicker all the lights, if you’re saying hi Trade it all for you and a second time Guess i’ll say hello in the second life What happens after that, doubt i’d ever know I came back alone, guess you had to go Trade it all for you and a second time Till we meet again, for now i say goodbye

When i was boy I hoped to work with my hands When i was teen I thought i had it all planned But now im a man wishing that i was boy No worries that now I find myself unemployed I feel the little raindrops falling on my head The roof is breaking down but I'm still lying in bed my world is crumbling down but I choose to grin instead But that ain’t not to say that im in over my head Don't worry about me I can sing a little uhuh On my two feet walking with a little uhuh I'm feelin better with a bit uhuh It's just some rain with a little just some rain with a little I thought of the toys I may have lent to a friend I bought all the clothes, kept up with all of the trends Now I'm paying for rent, I feel like a broken toy Swept under the bed with things you used to enjoy I feel the little raindrops falling on my head The roof is breaking down but I'm still lying in bed My world is crumbling down but I choose to grin instead But that ain’t not to say that I'm in over my head Don't worry about me I can sing a little uhuh On my two feet walking with a little uhuh I'm feelin better with a bit uhuh It's just some rain with a little just some rain with a little I still cant buy a car I still cant buy a home I cant buy anything I cant take out a loan Don't worry about me i can sing a little uhuh On my two feet walking with a little uhuh I'm feelin better with a bit uhuh It's just some rain just a little just some rain with a little bit rain.

about

Three years after the release of Whatever That Was, She’s Only Sixteen regroups under the most untenable circumstances to release their long-awaited follow-up, The Other Side.

Marked with several firsts, the five-track EP broaches a wider sound spectrum, most evident in dance- and funk-infused lead single “Broken Glass” and “Wake Up.” The rest departs from the near-melancholia and sprawling guitar-drivenness ofWhatever That Was, favoring resigned, but optimistic adaptation: both to circumstance and the natural order of things. “We aren’t the young guns that we used to be in college and our early 20s. Life is moving faster than we have ever seen and I guess this is a collective reflection of all of us. We continuously grow up together and this EP just shows that. It’s nice to note that as we do get older, we are even more prone to trying out new things,” reflects vocalist Roberto Seña.

The band’s first fully self-produced record was mixed and mastered by JP Del Mundo (60NICE) in New Jersey, and executive produced by Roy Macasaet and She’s Only Sixteen.

The Other Side is available on release date on digital platforms everywhere via Party Bear Records.
